When shy girl Izzy moves to a new neighborhood, she has no friends, but plays a lot with her imaginary friend Ex. The Bureau of Imaginary Friends explains to Ex that Izzy is getting too old for imaginary friends, and that it is time for Ex to retire. Before retiring, Ex helps Izzy make some real friends.
