One theory for accomplishing teleportation is to scan every atom in the item to be teleported, destroy the item, and precisely recreate it at the destination. If people are routinely teleported using this technique, and this technique is kept secret from the public, what happens if the original person is not destroyed? In other words, what happens to the un-gone?
